Loved this book. Both the characters are gorgeous as I felt their connection. A good start to the story with time jumps back to when they where younger growing up together. I loved the angst and the inner biology throughout the book with both Kade and Alex. The ending is beautiful and perfect and included some hot sexy scenes. This was a second book I'd read from this author and I'll be grabbing more of his stories.Kade was a bartender for almost 10 years but closeted with the ladies trying their best to catch him.
Alex 22 yrs who'd been away at collage to be an actor. Now working for a Company performing in a minor roles on stage, he couldn't help stopping in to say hello to Kade when it was his 31st birthday.

Edward has a way of pulling me into everyone of his stories. This story was sweet and sexy...very sexy and full of great characters. I loved the characters, Kade is a all around great guy, love his sense of humor and his joy for his job. Alex is sweet and shy in some ways and loved his desire for Kade. Love their getting to know each other again and spending time together and wanting more. These two characters are sexy together!
Edward creates characters in his stories that you root for from start to finish and always hope for their HEA. I love the secondary characters, HUCK especially! and of course Brody and the actor friends of Alex's. This story is a sweet and loving story. 5 stars
A beautiful, sweet novella that will warm your heart!! Kade is a closeted gay man working as a bartender. He had a traumatic experience with a man who took advantage of him when he was 17 which caused him not to trust again until Alex came into his life. Alex was a young man 9 years younger than Kade who had had a crush on Kade, his brother's best friend, since he became a teen. Alex has moved back to town working as an actor intent on seeing Kade again. He decides to go to the tavern Kade works at, wishing him a Happy Birthday. Alex wants to catch up with Kade setting up a dinner date...Kade is very hesitant especially since he was 9 years older, but goes anyway..This is their story of beginnings... A whirlwind romance that leads to A HEA. If you want a feel good story this is it..Short and Sweet!❤️❤️
